Could you keep sporting crowds safe? Whether it's giving out a plaster for a foot blister, or more serious emergencies, you'll be a life saver.
As a First Aider at stadiums, it's your opportunity to help look after large and small groups of people at football and rugby matches. This is the chance to learn new skills, and enhance skills you might already possess, like your First Aid at Work qualification.
You'll be part of a team that delivers first aid at stadiums across the country.
You'll get to shadow experienced first aiders, and learn and use the skills needed to look after the crowds.
You'll also have the chance to develop into more advanced roles, including Operational First Aider, Cycle Responder, and Emergency Ambulance Crew.
For this role you will need a current First Aid at Work qualification achieved through St John Ambulance or other registered centres of an awarding organisation. However, don't worry if you don't have this, as you can apply to take part in one of our first aid courses.
The football season is now coming to a close but we will be opening recruitment again in the near future.
You'll get a huge sense of satisfaction and pride delivering an essential service. It's great for you, great for your community, and great for our nation, and it requires only a small commitment of your time.
As a Stadium First Aider, you will help us to keep sports and concert crowds safe by providing first aid to the public at stadium events. Within this role you will use your first aid knowledge to treat the public while practicing your first aid skills and could progress on to more advanced clinical roles including operational first aider; cycle responder and emergency ambulance crew.
Minimum time commitment: Two events a month
Previous volunteering experience needed: You need to hold a First Aid At Work certificate to apply for this role.
