Community Advocate

Raise awareness of the importance of first aid in your local community

Community Advocate

Are you passionate about your local community and love meeting new people? Then we'd love you to join our team of Community Advocates.

The role

As a St John Ambulance Community Advocate, your task will be to raise awareness of the importance of first aid, within your local area.

You’ll be handing out information to the public and delivering first aid workshops at community centres, local events and groups.

You’ll also support and mentor local Community Champions, helping them get the most out of their involvement with St John Ambulance.

Training and time commitment

We’ll give you all the training and support you need to help inspire others into acquiring first aid skills. No previous experience in first aid is required.

As this is a flexible volunteering role, you can give as much time as suits your lifestyle.

You’ll make a genuine difference to your community while having a real say in the type of action you take to achieve this. You’ll learn vital skills, ready for when you need it most.

'I volunteer to give back to the community and to empower the community with the confidence to perform life saving skills.'

- Yasmin, Community Advocate

Learning first aid skills could be the most valuable thing you ever do. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your skills and help more people save lives.
